EXCURSIONS

San Terenzo-Falconara-Santa Teresa-San Terenzo

(Travel time: 1 hour and 45 minutes)
Departure from the little square at the base of the San Terenzo castle, heading up the trail towards the hill of Falconara which overlooks the town and the beautiful seaside landscape of the Gulf.
The "tomb of the knight" was said to be in this location, which is the tomb of a crusader who, according to legend, was buried in that exact place.
You can come down this same trail from Falconara or use the actual paved road from Pozzuolo. You can easily continue the walk until you reach the Forte dei Pianelloni and the Santa Teresa fortress from the 1500's, currently home of the "Scuola di Vela", (Sailing School), from which you can admire the "punta dell'Oca Pelata", ("bald goose point"), probably used as a landing place during Roman times.

Lerici-Pugliola-Solaro-San Terenzo

(Travel time: 1 hour and 30 minutes)
If you walk up Via Canata, you can reach Barcola, where the old trail dating back to the 17th century offers you a beautiful view of the sea and leads to Pugliola.
You can continue on from this characteristic town which was settled back in the 18th century towards Solaro.
Here we can observe the "Orto Magno", a group of stone terraces and basins which probably were utilized as thermal baths during Roman times.
Once we reach Solaro, we can walk through the old village on Via XX Settembre which eventually leads us through the Ligurian vegetable gardens to San Terenzo.
